The Big Lieutenant represents a vision brought to life by a husband-and-wife team who drew inspiration from Chef Basore’s grandfather, a lieutenant in the Air Force. The restaurant’s name, branding and interior design honor this military heritage through a carefully curated color palette featuring the distinct blue and gold of his uniform, complemented by warm wood elements creating an inviting atmosphere.

Envisioned as a neighborhood gathering place, the restaurant accommodates guests through varied seating options including 16 bar-top seats, floating tables, and banquette seating positioned along the perimeter. The space serves different dining preferences and group sizes while maintaining an intimate, community-focused environment to gather.
