Project
St. Francis

Sanctuary renovation and building addition at St. Francis of Assisi expands the parish’s capacity to serve its community, introducing dedicated space for religious education, gatherings, and fellowship.
The centerpiece of the renovation is a completely reimagined worship space that has been reoriented and reorganized to improve liturgical efficiency while honoring traditional Catholic church design principles.
The design draws from the character of the existing sanctuary while establishing updated finishes, lighting, and audio-visual systems suited to contemporary worship and community events. The transition between the renovated sanctuary and new addition was carefully considered, maintaining a sense of continuity while creating a welcoming flow through the campus.
The 4,310 SF addition provides eight classrooms, meeting spaces, public restrooms, and a centralized gathering hub, while exterior enhancements—including a reskinned facade, sculptural cross, and new patio around the St. Francis statue—unify the entire property and create a distinctive presence in the community.
