Children’s Safety Center of Washington County As the sun sets, the center’s façade transforms into a radiant tapestry of handprints, an inclusive and symbolic testament to those who came before and a beacon of solidarity for those currently seeking recovery. The design team elongated the front façade along Gene George Boulevard, creating a compassionate embrace with a subtle angle at the main entry.

The layout revolves around three primary functions: the advocacy and therapy wings forming the front façade, and the trauma wing at the rear with a secure entrance for law enforcement and trauma victims. The lobby serves as both an entry point and a secure transition area, isolating each wing through controlled access. To create an inviting atmosphere, the design features vibrant furniture and warm wood tones, along with durable terrazzo flooring, prioritizing functionality while fostering a nurturing environment for healing.
